Kauai Home Inspection Services (KHIS) was founded Dec. 2013 by Mike Lagana and currently performs approximately 50% of the home inspections on the island. Our goal is to provide an accurate assessment of the overall condition of the home or structure to help our clients make informed decisions regarding the home purchase transaction. Mike Lagana
Mike has lived on Kauai since 2001, was a licensed general contractor in California and Hawaii and has 30 years in the home building and remodeling trades. He has been a certified home inspector since 2013 and earned the Certified Master Inspector designation in 2016. Mike enjoys being involved in the community, gardening and growing veggies with vertical aeroponic Tower Gardens
Matt Roman
Matt was born and raised on Kauai and has been part of the KHIS team since 2016. He has construction and maintenance experience while in college and completed several additional training courses related to home inspections that are outside the scope of a typical home inspection. He also handles the tool and computer/software maintenance and repairs. Matt enjoys fishing, diving and spending time with his wife and children.
Daniel Lagana
Daniel grew up on Kauai and has been a part of the KHIS team since 2019. He has assisted on over 1,200 inspections and is an attic and crawlspace specialist. Daniel enjoys fishing and surfing.
Kayla
Kayla has lived on Kauai since 2017 and has been part of the KHIS team since 2020. She is the office administrator and manages scheduling, email correspondence and phone calls. She enjoys going to the beach, reading and spending time with her husband and daughter.
